Medieval Mayhem

25 May - 2 June

Medieval mayhem is coming to the castle this half term!

Medieval times are known for knights, princesses, fights, feasts and cruel fates. Many of the strange rules that were put in place to manage medieval society, still influence us today. For example, it is illegal in Tamworth to wash ox entrails in the River Anker or to sharpen knives on Ladybridge.

Join us and find out if you can survive the challenges of life in a medieval castle.

Weaponry demonstrations will be delivered by our volunteers on the following days:

  • Saturday 25 May
  • Monday 27
  • Tuesday 28
  • Wednesday 29
  • Thursday 30
  • Saturday 1 June
  • Sunday 2

Included in general admission. No pre-booking required but you can pre-book online here.

N.B. The castle will be closing early on Sunday 26 May for an exclusive event. We will only be open to walk ups between 10am & 11.30am.
