Opening Times & Prices

Tamworth Castle is open to visitors 11 months of the year from February to December.

You can visit us Tuesday to Sunday. We also open on Bank Holiday Mondays (with the exception of the Christmas break) so you can make the most of your family time together.

We recommend that you pre-book tickets as we are currently limiting the number of people in the building. You can do this online via our What's On page, or by giving our box office a call on 01827 709618.

There are often special events such as themed living history celebrations, Saxon festivals, live theatre and historical events for you to enjoy. Some are free and some have their own prices, depending on the event. Please take a look at our events section to see what's on and when and do give us a call if you have any queries.

If you'd like to visit with a *group, or arrange a tour*, then you are all most welcome, get in touch and we'll happy to help sort your fun day out.

Annual passes are now available so you can easily experience the castle throughout all the seasons.

We are also open throughout the year to school parties. Please note that during term time (weekdays 10.30am-2pm) there may be school parties in the building.
